Two workflows, a decade apart

Smart IPTV's flow reflects the years when TVs had no practical way to type: the television shows its MAC address, and everything else happens on a computer — you pay €5.49 against that address, and upload your M3U link or file to it on the siptv.app "My List" page. Once done, it is genuinely done; the app on the TV just plays whatever list is attached to its address.

The costs of that model are documented on their own pages. A television has two MAC addresses, so switching between Wi-Fi and cable strands the licence on the other one. Newer Android versions hide the MAC entirely, so those installs use a device ID that a factory reset changes. And your playlist necessarily lives on their servers, attached to that address.
