Does IBO Player have a TV guide?

By its own FAQ, no: the app has no EPG system integrated, and a guide appears only if your provider's system is EPG-ready. Loge fetches and displays the guide from your provider's data, whether that arrives through an Xtream login or a separate XMLTV address.

How does IBO Player activation work?

Per device, by MAC address: the app shows your device's MAC, and you activate and manage playlists against that address on IBO's website — €5 for a year or €10 lifetime, after a 7-day trial, with no refunds per their terms. Their pages also note the MAC can be switched only once. Loge activates on the device itself, with a code-based payment flow, and direct purchases carry a 14-day refund.

The MAC-address model, explained fairly

IBO's activation is the classic model of this category. Your device shows a MAC address; you go to IBO's website, enter that address, pay against it, and upload your playlist there. It has real virtues — no account, and the licence survives reinstalls because it lives on the hardware address, not in the app.

Its sharp edges are documented on IBO's own pages. A television has two MAC addresses, Wi-Fi and Ethernet, so changing how the TV connects can appear to erase your licence and playlist — their FAQ walks through exactly this confusion. Their portal permits switching the registered MAC only once. And your playlist lives on their web portal rather than only on your device, which you should be comfortable with before uploading it.

Loge simply does not use this model. Setup happens on the device in one screen (a QR code lets your phone do the typing), payment on a TV happens through a short on-screen code paid on your phone, and replacing a device or its network connection involves no address bookkeeping at all.

The guide question

Asked whether the app has an EPG system, IBO's FAQ answers: no — the app has no EPG integrated, and a guide appears only where the provider's system is "EPG-READY". In practice that means whether you see a programme guide depends entirely on your provider, and there is no separate place to attach one.

Loge treats the guide as the app's job: it reads the guide data your provider supplies — through an Xtream login automatically, or through an XMLTV address with an M3U playlist — and shows what is on now and next. If a provider offers no guide data at all, no player can invent it, but Loge gives it every chance to appear.

Where IBO is the better buy

Price. €5 a year or €10 forever undercuts everyone in the category, Loge included.
Stalker portals. IBO connects to them; Loge does not.
Windows and Linux. IBO publishes desktop builds beyond the Mac; Loge's computer app is Mac only.
You like the model. Some people prefer a licence tied to hardware with no vendor account anywhere. That is a legitimate preference, and IBO serves it.

Which one should you get?

Choose IBO Player if the price is the point, you need Stalker portal support or a Windows build, and the website-and-MAC routine does not bother you.
